AFC stands for Asayama Family Club. AFC Japan was founded by Asayama Tadahiko after accumulating years of experience in sales and trade. He worked diligently to establish a comprehensive production system and operated with 4 Main Principles: enhancing Quality Standards, Affordability, raising Awareness, and Social Responsibility.
In 1999, AFC began international trade, expanding its presence with over 200 products in other major countries such as Singapore, Korea, and China. During its development, Asayama Tadahiko recognized the significant potential of this industry to grow into a large, global company. In the beginning, Asayama Tadahiko founded 5 companies as the foundation of AFC: AFC-HD AMS Life Science Co., Ltd as the HQ & International Department for Supplement & Food Production, AFC as the main brand, NYK – Nihon Preventine Medical Laboratory Co., Ltd for research and development, Kenko TV Cp., Ltd, a television network in Japan used for advertising and promoting AFC products, and Honzo Pharmaceutical Herbal Medicine, which has been established since 1831.
One division of AFC HD AMS Life Science called Honzo (Herbal Pharmaceutical) has been established for over 170 years. Founded in 1831, it began as a provider of herbal products during the Edo period. Over time, Honzo has expanded by establishing several factories, research departments, and opening sales offices in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. They offer 142 premium products available on the market. Since its inception, Honzo has contributed to public health by blending medicinal plants found in nature. Honzo manufactures and sells prescription medicines prescribed by medical institutions, over-the-counter drugs available in pharmacies and drugstores, health foods, and daily necessities.
